Synopsis:

Kúkwpi7 K̓wsucw (Chief Goose) is the leader of the k̓wsucw (geese). As a leader he has become complacent and his people are starting to suffer, especially during the long winters. It is time for Kúkwpi7 K̓wsucw to be a true leader and show his people that he can help, and more importantly, lead! Following ancient protocols, he first consults with his ancestors, or the great spirit, for guidance and wisdom. Then he begins the journey to lead his people in search of a better place to live during the long winter season. While on the journey he learns that through listening to others, and allowing his people to help him lead, is the path to the well-being of the k̓wsucw. Through trial and error Kúkwpi7 K̓wsucw finally leads his people to a better place to live during the long winter months.

This is a contemporary story about Kúkwpi7 k̓wsicw (Chief Goose) who is the leader of his people. The story is about his personal connection to the importance of learning from others. He learns that listening, and allowing his people to help lead the way, is the path to the well-being of the k̓wsicw (geese) people. Through trial and error Kúkwpi7 k̓wsicw finally leads his people to a better place to live during the long winter months.
