‘Ya̱lis Movable Feast - For Vendors

CALL FOR VENDORS

‘Ya̱lis Movable Feast will be a FREE full day all-ages music festival, with Indigenous musicians and dancers visiting Alert Bay from all over BC.
U’mista is looking for food/artist/maker/activity vendors to take part in this exciting first annual event!
When: August 25, 2024 - All Day
Where: ‘Na̲mg̲is Bighouse Field
Application Deadline: [date coming soon]
Notification of Acceptance: [date coming soon]
Fee: $25 per 10’x10’ vendor space. Rain or Shine.
- Space is limited and eligible vendors will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
- Vendors are required to supply their own power, table, chairs and canopy (optional). *Note: If you do not have a table, U'mista may be able to help, please reach out.
- All food vendors require Food Safe Certification. Link to take Food Safe online: https://www.foodsafe.ca/courses/level-1.html#online
*Note: If you would like to provide an activity, please contact us, U’mista may be able to offer special rates and/or table/vendor space.
To get on the applicant list, please contact Kimberly Willie at Kimberly.willie@umista.ca with the following information:

  • What is your product or service
If you would like to be included in social media and promotional posts, please also provide:
  • At least one photo of yourself, your logo, and/or product/service
  • Links to your social media page(s) and/or website
  • A short bio or description of yourself or your business
*Note there may be a limit on vendor types to prevent multiple tables from offering the same thing. Set up and take down times will be announced soon.
Accepted vendors will be notified by [deadline coming soon]. Fees will be due at time of acceptance. If you are accepted, but unable to make the event, please let us know as soon as possible so another vendor can take your place. There will be no refund of application fee.


Notes:
  1. *****This is a drug and alcohol free event.
  2. No raffles/loonie auctions/fundraisers will be permitted.
  3. We discourage the use and sale of disposable plastic water bottles. (There will be a water station set up at the festival.)
  4. Preference will be given to artists, makers, and small businesses over MLM businesses (ie. Avon, Tupperware, etc.).
